Increased immigration & most notably illegal immigration has compromised nearly every aspect of our great nation to include, but not limited to environmental, medical-epidemiological, educational, economic, logistical & security concerns. Much of this is due to the process of chain immigration (also known as anchor baby immigration) where if a child of non-US citizenry is born in US, by a mother who merely leans over the border, then that child is a US citizen & then the parents & relatives are afforded residency in the interest of humanitarian grounds or family reunification. While noble in spirit, this process alone has led to the quadrupling of the US Population (Wilkapedia) since the 1960s. This is simply unsustainable as their are physical limitations as to any/all of the above listed resources & venues that have been compromised by illegal immigration in particular. Moreover, immigrants are either not assimilating nearly as quickly or efficiently as in previous decades, or in many cases NOT at ALL & this phenomena in itself imposes costly negative consequences to US society & culture. Like nearly all other developed nations, the US must adopt law that more stringently defines US citizenship & specifically precludes automatic citizenship for children borne in the US of non-US citizen parents.
Why the contribution is important
Reducing illegal immigration dramatically & returning to sustainable population levels is critical to the overall well being of US society. Like every other nation or country, the US has limited resources, physical space and capacity to accomodate its inhabitants. A continuation of the current explosively burgeoning immigration population trend will impose serious negative consequences on every aspect of life in the USA.
