Audit federal contractors to insure they are now using E-verify.
Force any employer found to have hired an illegal alien, to use E-Verify.
Support the budget and technology of this program so that it may be expanded and continuously improved.
Why the contribution is important
It merely makes sense to follow up with employer audits to ensure they obey our immigration laws and contribute to lowering the high unemplyment rate. Employing American workers will increse tax revenue and stimulate our economy.

Don't forget the "subcontractors" that the federal contractors utilize to secure their labor. The Mafia always covered their trail with fake enterprises. All of the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS realize that many "subcontractors" are organized exclusively to hire ILLEGALS while they persist in seeking out these “subcontractors” and they use their supposed "ignorance" of the hiring practices to "end run" the law. Construction, Oil Refineries, Retailers, and many others use the services of "subcontractors" to secure their "cheap labor" at the expense of United States Citizens. As our President commented, as long as the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS are able to claim ignorance of the law without penalty they will maintain their effort to secure “cheap labor” resulting in the ILLEGALS continuing to scurry across our unsecured national borders.

E-verify is a great tool for employers, but employers have always been mandated to verify eligibility of their new hire within three days. Before E-verify there were the I-9's. Some still use the I-9's or should I say many. Workers in this country that are here illegally will continue to thwart the system as they always have.
With the availability of technology, every employer should be using E-verify. The information should be analyzed by DHS for those who are put into the system and have no right of employment in this country - basically filter out information and follow-up on these leads when there is reason to believe someone who has tried to secure employment in the US is not permitted to do so. Likely, they are not permitted to even be in this country.
There are still flaws that need to be addressed. Perhaps someday we will move toward a biomedics program for employment in this country as well. Biomedics are the only thing that cannot be forged. Documents are a weak link and the use of biomedics would eliminate forgery as a possibility.
Repeatedly I see that individuals participating want to go after employers that hire illegal workers. However, it is the illegal that knows 100% they cannot work or apply for work. These are the people that need to be stopped. If they are supplying documents that satisfy the I-9, then the employee is responsible for falsifying documentation - not the employer for doing as they are obligated to under the laws.
Of course there are employers who do not properly verify an employee. They are in the business of hiring illegal workers. These employers fall into a separate category and should be handled according to the laws.

Subcontractors are bound to follow the same rules/laws etc as the company that hires them. I.E If a company hires a subcontractor to do work for them, the company who holds the initial contract is liable if the subcontractor does not use E-Verify. It IS the duty of the primary contracted company to ensure the subs use it, if not? They are just as guilty. So if all these companies think they are in the clear by allowing their subs to hire illegal aliens, they will eventually see their day in court right beside them. Give the folks at E-Verify a call, and ask this question the correct way to see that I'm right. The main problem is the folks at E-Verify don't let these businesses know, or don't fully explain that they need to make sure their subs adhere to E-Verify rules.

E-verify is fine, but I don't think verification is the issue. Most employers 'knowingly' hire from these groups. I think CIS should go back to the Employer Education system from the late 80s and early 90s. Then when ICE does raids, there won't be any excuses. If they know ahead of time what the fines and punishment are, they would make a better effort to use the E-verify system and ensure that the people they hire are legal. HHS (Social Security) and DHS (ICE & CIS) really do need to cooperate more to ensure that these people are unearthed.
