We have a program for kids to know that a plaque in someone window is a safe place if there in trouble. No one knows where our CERT's or located we need the same concept in a disaster people need to know where they can go who they can trust and were they can get help! If there were to be a universal sign that could be placed in a window etc... People would know that this would be a safe location or to get help in a disaster or an emergency! It could also be a place first responders could have located on there system knowing that a group in the community could be located here to get help and these would be one of there first stops. This may ease going door to door knowing that these families our out and safe and that there  house or location is clear. The more people isolated in one location the easier it would be to get help to and for more people. There could also be a national website were CERT’s could register and print out a plaque for there window and people could look up there locations or location close to them.

To assist more people in need and they can assist each other. People are not as scattered through out a community. The community knows who they can trust and rely on.
