Borders Goals and Objectives

The following tool allows you to prioritize the objectives of Borders by allocating points to each objective. You can allocate points in increments of 10 and the number of points you have to allocate per goal is dependent on the number of objectives in each goal. You can assign negative points to objectives that you think are less important resulting in more points for you to assign to other objectives.

Goal 1

Enforce U.S. laws and secure the land, air, and sea borders and approaches to the United States (including the Exclusive Economic Zone), preventing the illegal entry of persons, weapons, dangerous goods, illicit drugs, or other contraband into the United States.

Prevent illegal entry of people and illicit contraband Secure global movement systems from use for nefarious purposes Dismantle transnational criminal organizations Partner with North American neighbors to secure our borders Prevent illegal export of weapons, funds, and other materials Prevent introduction of threats to health, food, or agriculture

Goal 2

Expedite the free flow of lawful travel and commerce through our Ports of Entry and throughout the world.

Efficiently process asylum seekers, refugees, or other migrants Expedite the safe and lawful flow of travel and commerce Protect critical border and transnational infrastructure Secure U.S. interests in the Exclusive Economic Zone
