Mission vision statement:

A Nation that is resilient to all hazards and threats through an adaptive and risk-informed system that integrates capabilities and empowers all stakeholders.

Goals:

  1. As a nation, enhance the focus on risk and resiliency in disaster management.
  2. Improve the nationwide emergency management system to reflect the roles, responsibilities, authorities, capabilities, needs, and interdependencies of all stakeholders in order to enhance unity of effort.
  3. Engage and empower individuals to become partners in supporting their communities before, during and after disasters.
