Mission vision statement:

Secure borders that protect the United States from threats and expedite lawful travel and commerce in support of a secure, free, and prosperous America.

Goals:

  1. Secure the land, air, and marine borders of and approaches to the United States, keeping out external threats and preventing illegal entries and the smuggling of contraband, while preserving civil liberties and meeting U.S. humanitarian obligations.
  2. Work with our international and private sector partners to secure and expedite the lawful flow of travel and commerce through our Ports of Entry and throughout the movement systems of the global economy.
  3. Protect critical border infrastructure, such as international bridge crossings and seaports.
